Key responsibilities:
- Guide the business in developing requirements that fit well with Agile PLMs out of the box capability
- Elaborate and map business requirements into functional and technical solutions
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert (SME) for all Agile PLM system modules
- Conduct feasibility analysis, solution design, and driving the implementation of new functionality.
- Own the Agile PLM system in terms of system configuration, solution and development.
- Cross train internal IT team on Agile features, functionality and integrations
- Coordinate with business users and development teams to work towards an efficient solution based on acceptable trade-offs
- As a lead technical architect for the Agile PLM solution – work with internal and external technical teams, other PLM team members and the DBA team on all technical solutions
- Responsible for the day to day support and administration of the PLM system. Creating user accounts, setting roles/privileges, configuring secured access for external users, conducting user training, generating EC Metrics.
- Identifying, supporting, and resolving PLM system, or custom program level bugs, and helping in stabilizing the process or tool.
- Provide guidance to develop the PLM application strategy and enhancement roadmap.
- Can lead planning, design, implementation, and upgrades of PLM infrastructure; can ensure performance monitoring and diagnostics are in place.
- Define integrations, customizations and configurations to achieve/support product development and supply chain business objectives and increase operational efficiencies.
- Develop data conversion and system implementation and upgrade plans.
- Responsible for development of enhancements and implementations, debugging system level code of SDK based business applications.
- Develop user test plans to assure that developed solution satisfies business requirements including, but not limited to developing test scripts, setting up test data, and assisting with activities
Technical Skills:
- At least 6 (to10) years of techno-functional experience in working with Oracle Agile PLM, specifically modules like – Product Collaboration(PC), Product Quality Management(PQM) and Product Portfolio Management (PPM).
- Experience supporting, and administering Agile 9.3.x or above.
- Proficient in writing Process Extensions (PX) and Web Extensions (WSX).
- Experience in configuring the Agile PLM product according to the business needs of the customer
- Experience on installation of all Agile PLM components.
- Experience in integrating PLM to other enterprise applications such as Oracle EBS and regulatory systems
- Experience with functional analysis of PLM and ERP systems. Working knowledge or ERP systems preferred (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite)
- Experience supporting, and developing Agile ACS code, Agile API SDK based customizations and developing Process Extensions
- Architect the PLM solution and suggest process improvements based on the application capability and industry best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent, master’s degree preferred.
- Design and develop (deliver) product extensions, customizations, integrations, etc. Support all formal documentation of solutions, including requirements for product extensions, etc
- Participate in critical problem solving and advanced troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in working with Java/J2EE, SDK APIs, XML, Servlets, SQL Procedures, Excel API experience with ability to build reporting
- Hands-on experience in OPLA/OBIEE.
- Experience monitoring, and supporting integration between PLM and ERP Systems.
Functional :
- The candidate must have an expert understanding of PLM infrastructure; IT operational procedures.
- The candidate should have a knowledge and understanding of product lifecycle, manufacturing, and engineering processes.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exposure to other PLM areas like PTC, Enovia, Siemens would be a plus.
- Strong understanding of information systems, business processes and measures of success
- Proven commitment to customer care, system availability, reliability and issue resolution. This can include off-hours and on-call support to resolve system incidents
- Working closely with key stakeholders, analysts, and developers to conduct requirements and design/implement PLM and engineering applications as well as other business applications to support Garmin business needs
- Modifying application configurations to maintain, improve, and extend existing software
- Providing coordination between end users, developers, and production control to complete required activities
- Providing support to users for the Oracle Agile PLM application and engineering applications
